Kiedy myslimy o tych wszystkich hotelach dla psow to po prostu przechodza nam ciarki. Psy maja uczucia i co one musza czuc pozostajac w klatce... Nasz pies nie jest do tego przyzwyczajony w ogole... My ja bardzo dobrze traktujemy serwujac jej dobre jedzenie, kapiac ja, perfumujac, dbajac o sprawy medyczne, bawiac sie z nia, chodzac na spacery, zabierajac ja tam gdzie mozemy... Sirena ma swoje poslanie w naszej sypialni, obecnie spi z mojej strony lozka od kiedy maz jest w Teksasie, a takze ma swoja kanape w salonie. Dzisiaj postanowilam udac sie do dwoch miejsc (wiecej nie ma) w Marshall, zeby sprawdzic jak taki hotel dokladnie wyglada, poniewaz ja nigdy tego nie widzialam tylko slyszalam same nieciekawe rzeczy na ten temat... Pierwsze miejsce do ktorego sie udalam okazalo sie, ze jest prowadzone przez kobiete, ktora znam z kosciola i nawet bylysmy razem na weekendowych rekolekcjach z tego kosciola. Bardzo mila Pani, ale jej psi hotel wygladal bardzo przecietnie... Wygladalo to wszystko jak typowe schronisko dla zwierzat. Nie zabrala mnie na wycieczke po tym miejscu, poniewaz domyslam sie, ze nie bylo co tam pokazywac... Koszt za dobe w tym miejscu to $18, mozna przywiezc swoje jedzenie i oczywiscie trzeba miec wszystkie aktualne zastrzyki w tym szczepionke na grype. Po odwiedzeniu tego miejsca udalam sie do nastepnego psiego hotelu i tutaj doznalam mega pozytywnego szoku... Od razu zaznaczam, ze doba tam kosztuje $27.5, ale roznica jest ogromna... Bardzo mila wlascicielka zaprosila mnie na wycieczke po obiekcie... Pierwsza rzecz kiedy tam weszlam to zapach, piekny zapach, brak smrodu z powdu duzej ilosci psow w jednym miejscu... Bardzo czyste i pachnace miejsce.. Kuchnia do przygotowywania posilkow, dwa pokoje dla psow i jedno wieksze pomieszczenie gdzie mieszka wiekszosc psow.... W pomieszczeniu tym znajduja sie boksy dla kazdego pieska, ale nie jest to do konca klatka, jest to kojec z bramka, milymi poslaniami, zabawkami i miskami z woda jedzeniem w srodku. Wszystko jest bardzo czyste i pachnace! Kobieta powiedziala mi, ze boksy sa sprzatane dwa razy dziennie kiedy psy bawia sie na zewnatrz. Wlascielka zna imiona wszystkich psow i ich wszelkie przyzwyczajenia, rytm dnia, leki ktore musza brac... Jesli pojawiaja sie nowe zwierzeta dla pracownikow hotelu na scianie wisi specjalna tablica z imionami psow i wszelkimi informacjami potrzebnymi do dobrej opieki nad nimi. Ja jak tam dzisiaj weszlam to czulam sie po prostu jak w przedszkolu... Niesamowity rytm dnia, czysto, pachnaco, psy maja wiele atrakcji i przede wszystkim sa szczesliwe! Kiedy weszlam na to podworku dzisiaj, wszystkie psy biegaja, bawia sie, zaczely na mnie skakac, wygladaja na naprawde zadowolone! Niektorzy przywoza swoje czworonogi tam po to, by sie tylko pobawily i milo spedzily czas, a potem zabieraja je do domu... Wlascielka powiedziala mi, ze zazwyczaj kiedy psy wracaja do swoich domow to spia przez dwa dni bo sa tak zmeczone zabawa i harcami z innymi kolegami w hotelu... To bylo niesamowite, ze zadne psy tam sie nie gryzly, wszystkim odpowiada towarzystwo! Podobno nie zawsze sie tak dzieje, ale jest mozliwosc odseparowania tych psow, ktore maja mocniejsze charaktery na sasiednie podworko... Psy maja nawet trampoliny, a w lato baseny do zabawy w wodzie! To bylo niezwykle mile doswiadczenie dla mnie, bylam pod ogromnym wrazeniem tego miejsca i takiej opieki! Wlascicielka powiedziala mi, ze otworzyla to miejsce, poniewaz sama niejednokrotnie byla zmuszona zostawic swojego psa w miejscach, ktore nie do konca jej odpowidaly, dlatego postanowila stworzyc miejsce z jej marzen, ktore jest perfekcyjne dla czworonogow... Panstwo jada na wakacje wiec niech pies tez cos ma od zycia. Poczulam ulge, poniewaz wiem, ze moge zaufac tym ludziom i wiem, ze Sirena prawdopodobnie nie bedzie miala czasu myslec o tym, ze nas kolo niej nie ma... Sprawdzilam rowniez opinie o tym miejscu i nie ma negatywnych opinii, ludzie sa bardzo zadowoleni. Pies oczywiscie musi miec aktualne szczepienia i rekomendacje sa takie, zeby przyniesc jedzenie z domu, poniewaz psy sa juz przyzwyczajone do swoich posilkow, a nie chcemy zeby mialy chory zoladek... Opowiedzialam o moich wrazeniach Majkowi, dlaego dezycja podjelismy blyskawicznie! To wlasnie tam Sirena spedzi tydzien. W przyszlym tygodniu wybiore sie tez z nia na adaptacje do tego hotelu, zeby poznala osoby, ktore beda sie nia opiekowaly, zeby wiedziala, ze ja tam jestem i jest to dobre i bezpieczne miejsce. Z kotem bedzie troche latwiej, poniewaz "koty chodza sowimi sciezkami"... i tak jest w przypadku naszego kota... Na pewno bardzo nas kocha, bo jest z nami juz prawie trzy lata i lubi kiedy ja do niej mowie, reaguje kiedy do niej mowie, wie ze zawsze dostanie od nas dobre jedzenie, poslanie, zabawki, ktorymi i tak sie nie bawi, ale jak ma ochote isc bawic sie w polu kukurydzy, ktore znajduje sie niedaleko domu to nikogo nie pyta o zdanie...:) Jest caly czas cieplo, kot ma poslanie w szopce na podworku, ma tam tez jedzenie, ktore bedzie mu dostarczal sasiad, takze mysle, ze poradzi sobie swietnie:) Nasz drugi kot, ktory mial wirusa lukimii zmarl w maju kiedy bylismy w Polsce... Kolega, ktory sie nim opiekowala wypuscil go na dwor, kot wdal sie w bojke przed ktora tak probowalismy go chronic trzymajac go caly czas w domu i zmarl... To byl kot z charakterem, dziki, troche denerwujacy, totalne przeciwienstwo tego slodziaka, ktory z nami caly czas jest...

In a week from now I fly to Houston, TX where my husband is currently working for FEMA. I have a fall break between October 9th and 13th and I am going to spend this time relaxing with my husband, but I am also going to study and getting ready for school since this semester is really intense. My husband lives in the hotel in downtown of Houston where they don't accept pets. I also fly to Houston and having not small animals on the plane is not very safe, because they put them in the cargo where temperature drops so much during the flight... We love our dog too much to put her in any dangerous situation. It is not a long flight, but still we don't entirely trust this method... Sirena was always traveling with us when we were driving. This dog saw probably more of the United States than the average citizen of this country. She was everywhere from South to North including coasts. Now we got some problem because we live almost 15 minutes out of town and we do not have anybody to stay with animals when we are gone... We do not want to put dog to somebody's house and make an additional duty to take care of... that's why we started thinking what are we going to do with Sirena when I will go to Texas... When we think about all of this dog hotels and dog shelters we get chills on the skin... Dogs have feelings and I do not know what they have to feel when they are left in this wired cage... Our dog is not used to it... We treat her very well. We feed her with good food, we bath her, we perfume her, we take care of all her medical issues, we play with her, we go for walks and we take her everywhere when it is possible... Sirena has her own bed in our bedroom, now when my husband is in Texas she sleeps on my side of the bed, and she has her own couch in living room. So how can she go to the dog hotel from this kind of life? It must be a nightmare for a dog. Today I decided to check two places in Marshall (that's all what we have here) and see how exactly this shelters for dogs look like since I have never seen them, and I only heard not very good opinions about it... The first place where I went is owned by a woman that I know from the church and I even was with her on women's retreat last year. She is a very nice lady, but her dog shelter is very average. She did not take me for a tour around around this place because I imagine there was really nothing to show... The cost for a day is $18. You can bring food and dog has to have all vaccines including a flu shot. I went to the other place and I was positively shocked... I will mention right a way that the cost in the other hotel is $27.50, but you can see a huge difference... A very nice owner took me for a tour around the facility... The first thing that I noticed there was a smell, very nice small and lack of odor caused by many dogs being in one place... Very nice and smelly place... They have kitchen to prepare food, two rooms and one bigger room where most of dogs live... In this big room they have accommodation/space for every dog, but it doesn't look like a typical wired cage, it is more like a space with security gate, something like for little kids... Dogs have there nice beds, toys, food and water. Everything is really clean and smells nice! Woman told me that they clean the space where dogs live twice a day when dogs play outside. The owner knows all dogs names, their life style, medications and other important things... There is a board on the wall for workers of this place and when new animals come to the hotel they put on this board the names of dogs and all of the information needed to take good care of them. Delicate music is played there all the time, lights are regulated during the day so it can help dogs for example to take a nap... Around 7 o clock in the morning all animals go outside for bathroom... Yard is fenced, clean and really nice... Of course they systematically clean this after dogs do bathroom. After bathroom everybody comes back for breakfast, then they go outside to play for three hours. They come back lunch time to take a nap and some of them also eat lunch. They go back to play after nap. They spend around six hours playing outside! It is a lot, our dog does not spend that much time outside daily. They come back for dinner around 6, and around 7 they go for last bathroom and they go to sleep. If the weather is bad, there is a big playing room inside of the building and they have a lot of toys. I felt like in kindergarten when I entered this place today... Amazing day schedule, very clean and smelly and what is the most important all dogs are very happy! I went to this yard today where all dogs play, they jumped on me and they all seemed to be very happy! Some people bring their dogs there just so they can play and then they take them back home... The owner told me that usually when dog come back to their houses they sleep for two days because they are so tired after playing with other dogs in hotel... It was amazing that all of these dogs were not fighting! They all get along pretty well! I heard that it's not always like this, but dogs that have stronger characters can be separated to the another yard which is right next to the one where most of dogs play... Dogs even have trampolines and pools in summer time! It was a very nice experience for me and I was very impressed how this place looks like and how they take care of animals there... The owner told me that she opened this place because in the past she was also forced sometimes to leave her dog in the shelter and she did not like those places so she wanted to create her dream and perfect place where all furry friends can be happy... Parents go for vacation so animals also need something good from life. I felt relief because I know that I can trust these people and I know that probably Sirena will not have time there to think that we are not with her... I also checked opinions about this place and I did not find anything negative, people are happy to leave there animals there. I told Mike about my impressions and we suddenly made decision! That is going to be a place where Sirena will spend a week. I am also going to go with her for adaptation next week so she can get to know this place and people that will be taking care of her. She needs to know that I am there and she is safe and this place is also nice and safe. It is going to be much easier with cat because "cats they walk their own paths"... and that is how it works with our cat... She for sure loves us. She is with us almost three years. She likes when I talk to her, she reacts and she knows that she will always get from us good food, bed and toys that she never plays with, but when she wants to go and play in the corn field next to the house she is not going to ask anybody for permission...:) It is still warm here and our cat has a bed in the shed. She also has food there and neighbor is going to deliver this to her when I am gone so I think that she will be fine:) The other cat that had a leukemia virus died in May when we were in Poland... Our friend who was taking care of our animals accidentally let this cat out and we were keeping him in the house because we did not want him to get into a fight, but he unfortunately did it and he passed away... It was a wild cat. He was a little bit annoying and he was a total opposite to this sweet one that is still with us...
