Skrzetnie nadrabiam zaleglosci, aktualizujac Was z tym co u mnie dzialo sie w ostatnich tygodniach... Moja siostra Asia ciagle u nas gosci, do Polski wylatuje 21 wrzesnia z Miami, ale teraz juz bardziej relaksujemy sie w domu i korzystamy z atrakcji dostepnych w naszym miescie.
W drodze powrotnej z Chicago, 5 wrzesnia w LABOR DAY wstapilismy do Wabasha w Minnesocie, malym miasteczku, w ktorym nagrywane byly filmy "Dwaj zgryzliwi tetrycy" oraz "Jeszcze bardziej zgryzliwi tetrycy". W naszym domu to juz tradycja, ze zawsze na Swieto Dziekczynienia i Boze Narodzenie ogladamy wlasnie te filmy. To wlasnie za sprawa tych dosc juz starych filmow tak bardzo spodobal mi sie styl zycia w Minnesocie, zawsze kiedy ogladalam te filmy namawialam mojego meza na wakacje w Krainie 10 000 jezior, poniewaz krajobrazy, natura i kimat sa tutaj przecudowne, przynajmniej mi bardzo odpowiadaja. Ciesze sie bardzo, ze mieszkam teraz w Minnesocie i w chwili obecnej za zadne skarby ne przeprowadzilabym sie np. do uwielbianej przez turystow Kalifornii. Wabasha to przeslodkie, male, amerykanskie miasteczko, po prostu "wypisz, wymaluj" z flimu. Nie dziwie sie, ze tworcy wspomnianych wyzej filmow wybrali wlasnie te lokalizacje dla ich filmu, poniewaz jest tam przepieknie! Wabasha lezy nad sama rzeka Mississippi. Sceneria tego miejsca jest przeurocza. Moglabym sie tam zaszyc i juz nigdzie stamtad nie wyjezdzac. W Wabasha nie spedzilismy duzo czasu, poniewaz jeszcze w drodze powrotnej mielismy odebrac moja kolezanke Edyte z Minneapolis, ale zdazylismy przespacerowac sie nad rzeka, objechac miasteczko, odwiedzic SLIPPERY'S, czyli bar w ktorym czas spedzali "Dwaj zgryzliwi tetrycy" i zrobic kilka zdjec. Dla ciekawostki napisze, ze wszysycy Ci ktorzy beda odwiedzac Wabasha i poszukiwac tam domow z filmow, w ktorych mieszkali bohaterowi Max i John to ich tam nie znajdziecie. Domy te znajduja sie w stolicy Minnesoty, czyli St. Paul, oddalonej od Wabasha jakies 70 mil. Dom Maxa Goldmana mozna dzis znalezc pod adresem 1137 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN, dom Johna Gustafsona przy 1133 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN, natomiast dom Ariel Truax przy 1122 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN. My jeszcze tam nie bylismy, ale jak bedziemy w St. Paul to na pewno odwiedzimy te domki, zeby chociaz zrobic sobie przy nich zdjecia:)

Hi Everyone again this week!
I busily catch up updating you on what was hapening with me in past weeks... My sister Asia is still staying with us. She leaves for Poland from Miami on September 21st, but now we relax mostly at our house and we use available attractions in our town.
On the way back from Chicago, on LABOR DAY September 5th, we stopped in Wabasha MN, a small town where "Grumpy old men" and "Grumpier old men" were filmed. At our house it is already a tradition that for Thanksgiving and Christmas we watch those movies. These movies made me like Minnesota life style, and always while watching them I was encouraging my husband to go at least for vacation to Land of 10 000 lakes. Landscapes, nature, climate are wonderful here at least I like them a lot. I am so happy that now I live in Minnesota and currently I can not imagine to move for example to loved by tourists California. Wabasha it is a sweet, little, American town, which looks exactly like from the movie. I am not surprised that creators of movies mentioned above chose this place for there movies, because there is just beautiful! Wabasha is located on Mississippi river. The scenery there is amazing. I could stay there and never move anywhere again. We did not spend much time in Wabasha, because on way back we had to pick up my friend Edyta from Minneapolis, but we still were able to walk along the river, drive through the town, visit SLIPPERY'S, which is a bar where "Grumpy old men" were hanging out and took some pictures. As a curiosity I just want to let know everybody who will be visiting Wabasha and looking there for houses from movies where Max and John were living, unfortunately you will not find them there. Those houses are located in capital of Minnesota which is St. Paul, which is about 70 miles far from Wabasha. Max Goldman's house you can find at 1137 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN. The house of John Gustafson is at 1133 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN, and Ariel Truax's house is located at 1122 Hyacinth Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN. We were noth there yet, but when we will be visiting St.Paul I am sure we will stopped by those houses at least to take some pictures:)
