Marks Historic Railroad State Trail. Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail mierzy 20,5 mil ze stolicy Florydy, Tallahasee do nadmorskiej wspolnoty St. Marks na Florydzie. Na poczatku XX wieku ten dzis zabytkowy korytarz kolei uzywany byl do przewozenia bawelny z plantacji na wybrzeze, by nastepnie transportowac material do zakladow tekstylnych w Anglii i Nowej Anglii. Po latach szlak koleii zostal przeksztalcony w szlak rekreacyjny, gdzie dzis mozna poruszac sie rowerami, konno, spacerwowac i kontemplowac otaczajaca nature.
Milego dnia!

Hello My Faithful Readers in March! :)
I hope that you all are doing good!
I am good too, and as always with big pleasure I am sharing with you all of the flavors of America, which I was able to taste!
Last Saturday my lovely husband Mike and I went for a bike trip to Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail. We drove with bikes in trunk, on Saturday morning, from Bainbridge, GA to Tallahassee, FL, which is located about 45 minutes of driving from us then to ride on the same day 26 miles, which is about 41 km total on a mentioned above trail. We parked our car around 2 miles (it is a little bit more then 3 km) further from official start of Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail, and same time we cut a little bit our route, but my husband told that the place where we parked is safer then the place at the beginning of the trail. Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail runs 20.5 miles from the capital of Florida, which is Tallahassee, to seaside community of St. Marks, FL. At the beginning of twentieth century this historic railway corridor was used to carry cotton from a plantation to the coast, and then ship it to textile mills in England and New England. This railroad after years was transformed into a recreation area, where you can ride a bike, horseback riding, walk, and contemplate surrounding nature. It is really beautiful and worth it to recommending this place! We had a great weather for a bike ride. It was not to hot, but as befits for a sunshine state, the sun was not missed. It was a little bit windy so pedaling was a real pleasure. At the end of our route, in St. Marks we ate delicious oysters and steak in one of the river side restaurant. We drank a beer and margarita, we got some rest so in a moment we could ride back on same trail. We got a lot of fresh air! We fell asleep from a very nice fatigue after we came back home...:)
Have a nice day!
