Jak juz wspominalam wczesniej w paru postach na Wielkanoc 2017 roku mielismy zaplanowany wyjazd na Key West na Florydzie gdzie 14 kwietnia (Wielki Piatek) odbyl sie slub Bernadette, ktora jest ciocia Majka. Na Floryde wylecielismy 13 kwietnia w nocy. Wyladowalismy w Miami, a nastepnie wynajetym samochodem udalismy sie na Key West. Zatrzymalismy sie w hotelu w Sugar Loaf Key. Pamietajcie, ze Key West jest turystycznie bardzo popularynym i obleganym miejscem, ale Florida Keys to mnostwo innych malych pieknych wysp wokol Key West, polaczonych ze soba mostami. Na Key West znajduje sie najbardziej wysuniety na poludnie punkt Stanow Zjednoczonych od ktorego jest tylko 90 mil na Kube. Jechalismy z Key West duzo dluzej do Miami niz zajeloby to nam, zeby "dojechac" na Kube. Generalnie dla mnie i dla mojego meza osob, ktore spedzily duzo czasu na Florydzie i zwiedzily naprawde duzo roznych miejsc tam, Key West jest dosc mocno przereklamowane. Owszem atrakcja moze byc fakt, ze wyspa znajduje sie blisko Kuby, ale poza tym plaze, morze, palmy nie roznia sie niczym innym niz palmy, czy piasek np w Panama City Beach na Florydzie, gdzie swojego czasu czesto jezdzilismy. Key West jest bardzo drogim miejscem, doba w hotelu kosztuje minimum $200 za noc i nie jest to wcale dobry hotel... Wyspa jest przeludniona. Mialam wrazenie, ze jest tam wiecej samochodow niz ludzi. Niesamowite korki, ktore doprowadzaja do wscieklosci. Nie jest to dla mnie perfekcyjne miejsce na odpoczynek. Wiem, ze na Florydzie jest mnostwo pieknych i duzo spokojniejszych miejsc niz Key West... ale glownym celem naszej wycieczki byl slub naszej cioci i pod tym wzgledem wyjazd udal sie bez dwoch zdan! Wszystko wyszlo perfekcyjnie... Spotkalismy sie z rodzina, spedzilismy razem naprawde wartosciowy i mily czas! Pobawilismy sie na weselu, zdazylismy poopalac sie na plazy i wymoczyc sie w morzu. Majk zaliczyl nawet nurkowanie. Mielismy okazje pojezdzic rowerami wokol Key West, zrobic sobie zdjecie przy najbardziej wysunietym punkcie na poludnie i zajadac sie przepysznym jedzeniem w gronie wspanialych ludzi. Oczywiscie drinki tez byly! Nie moglo byc inaczej:) Byl to krotki wyjazd, ale bardzo intensywny i udany... 17 kwietnia w niedziele mielismy samolot z West Palm Beach do Minneapolis. Slub Bernadette i Glenna odbyl sie w Pier House Resort SPA. Przepiekne miejsce na slub, z reszta sami zobaczycie na zdjeciach ponizej. Tegorocznych swiat Wielkanocnych nie odczulismy w tradycyjny sposob, zajadajac sie jajkami, barszczem i biala kielbasa, bylo inaczej, ale wcale nie gorzej!

As I mentioned before in couple other posts for Easter 2017 we have planned a trip to Key West, FL where on April 14th (Good Friday) took place Bernadette's wedding. Bernadette is an aunt of Mike. We flew to Florida night April 13th. We landed in Miami, we rented a car and we headed to Key West. We stayed in a hotel titled the Sugarloaf Lodge. You need to remember that Key West is a very popular tourist destination, but Florida Keys are many beautiful islands around Key West connected with each other by bridges. In Key West there is Southernmost point of the continental United States of America, where from is only 90 miles to Cuba. We were driving longer to Miami than it would take us to "drive" to Cuba. Key West is highly over advertised for my husband and I people who spend a lot of time in Florida and saw many places there. Of course the fact that Key West is located close to Cuba can be an attraction, but beaches, sea, palms are not any different than palms or sand for example in Panama City Beach, FL where we used to spend time a lot. Key West is a very expensive place to go. A night in hotel costs at least $400 and it is not a very good hotel... Island is overpopulated. I kind of felt like there was more cars than people. Traffic jams there is just ridiculous! It is not a perfect place for me to get rest. I know that in Florida there is a lot of beautiful and much calmer places than Key West... but the main goal of this trip was our aunt's wedding and it went perfect! No questions about it. We met with family and we had with them really nice quality time! We had fun at the wedding! We spent some time on the beach, we swam in the ocean, we got some tan, and Mike was even able to go snorkeling. We had an opportunity to bike around Key West, take photos at Southernmost point, and eat delicious food with wonderful people! Of course we also had delicious drinks, it could not be different! :) It was a short trip, but very intense and successful... On April 17th we had a plane from West Palm Beach, FL to Minneapolis. Bernadette and Glenn's wedding was in Pier House Resort SPA. It is a beautiful place for wedding, you will see that on pictures below. This year Easter we did not spend and we did not experience in traditional way. We did not have eggs, white barszcz, and white sausages... It was different but not worse!
