18 listopada 2016 roku w piatek tuz przed Swietem Dziekczynienia doswiadczylismy naszej pierwszej burzy snieznej w Minnesocie! Klimat tutaj jest naprawde niesamowity dla mnie....Bardzo mi odpowiada! Mielismy przepiekne lato tego roku! Jesien byla ciepla i zlota, praktycznie w ogole bezdeszczowa... Temperatura spadala bardzo stopniowo, bez zadnych naglych wahan, jeszcze w srode 16 listopada bylo naprawde przyjemnie na dworzu, mozna powiedziec cieplo... Od poczatku tygodnia miasto oraz media przygotowywaly mieszkancow Minnesoty na piatkowa sniezyce, chociaz ja jeszcze bylam zdziwiona, ze jak z tak pieknej pogody nagle moze przyjsc burza sniegowa?! Chociaz meteorologicznie jest to mozliwe, to mi sie tak po prostu wydawalo to dziwne... Dopiero w czwartek 17 listopada wieczorem zaczal padac drobny deszcz, ktory w nocy zamarzal, a nad ranem 18 listopada zaczal padac snieg. W piatek obudzilam sie o 7 rano i nie bylo jeszcze tak duzo sniegu, ale juz o 9 rano cale nasze osiedle bylo przykryte 20 centymetrowa warstwa sniegu. Wyglada to pieknie, moj dom jest juz udekorowany swiatecznie dlatego mamy tu niesamowicie bozonarodzeniowy klimat w listopadzie! :D Naprawde docenilam zime po czasie, ktory spedzilam w goracej Georgii i na Florydzie, gdzie moj organizm na dluzsza mete mial problem z funkcjonowaniem w tak goracym klimacie... Majk byl podekscytowany jak dziecko, kiedy dowiedzial sie, ze juz za chwile bedziemy mieli snieg, poniewaz on nigdy w zyciu mieszkajac caly czas na poludniu Stanow nie przezyl takiej ostrej zimy jak w Minnesocie! Nasz piesek jest rowniez w "siodmym niebie" bawiac sie na sniegu, ale sama nie chce wychodzic na snieg, tylko z nami :D Zima kompletnie zaskoczyla koty, ktore w ogole nie sa zainteresowane spedzaniem czasu na dworzu, wyleguja sie cale dnie w domu na kanapie i stronia od drzwi wejsciowych... Szykujemy sie na sanki, a Majk juz wczoraj ogladal deski snowboardowe! :) Szczesliwej, pieknej i bialej zimy Wszystkim zycze! :)

We experienced our first blizzard in Minnesota right before Thanksgiving on Friday, November 18th 2016! A climate here is really amazing for me... I absolutely love it! We had a beautiful summer this year! Fall was warm and gold, no raining almost at all... Temperature was dropping gradually, without any sudden temperature fluctuations, even on Wednesday November 16th was very nice outside, I could say warm... The city and media were preparing residents of Minnesota since the beginning of the week for coming blizzard. I was kind of surprised, because it was hard to imagine for me that this beautiful weather can turn into blizzard?! It is of course possible from meteorological point of view, bit it was just simply hard to imagine for me... It was starting to rain only on Friday evening and then in the night rain was freezing, but in early morning November 18th it started to snow. I woke up on Friday at 7 am and there was not much snow, but on 9 am there was already 9 inches which is about 20 cm of snow in our neighborhood. It looks beautiful! My house is already decorated for holidays so we have a very Christmas atmosphere already in November! :D I really appreciated winter after time which I spent in Georgia and Florida where my body had a problem to function in such a hot weather after longer time... Mike was excited like a child when he found out that we are going to have a snow soon, because he has never experienced before a real winter like in Minnesota when he was living most of his life in Southern States! Our dog is in "seven heaven" while playing in the snow, but she does not want to go for snow alone, only with us :D Winter totally surprised our cats. They are not interested in spending time outside at all. They lay on the couch all days and try to avoid a front door... We are getting ready for sledge... Mike was already looking at snowboards yesterday! :) Have a happy, beautiful and white winter everybody! :)
